PTO FAQ

Q: What is the purpose of the PTO? 
A: Vickery Creek Elementary School Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is our school’s cooperative organization that provides enrichment to the school experience. Each Vickery Creek family is invited to participate through involvement, providing resources, or giving financial support.

Q: What is the difference between PTA and PTO?
A: PTA is a local parent group affiliated with a state’s PTA organization and the National PTA. Our PTO is an independent parent group, a non-PTA. No national PTO exists akin to the National PTA. ​

Q: What is expected of me if I go to a PTO  general meeting?
A: We held our general meeting on Sept 13, 2023 after school hours. We will also did online voting for our budget to ensure all members had a opportunity to vote. The in-person aspect of our meeting is subject to change based on current regulations of the school board.  In our general meetings we go over our financials from the previous year as well as our proposed budget for the current year.  We then go over any pertinent old and/or new business.  We open the floor for questions.  We have a vote for any items that need to be voted on like the proposed budget.

Are you a PTO member who needs reimbursement for a PTO-related expense? Please fill out, print and return the Vickery Creek PTO check request form.

(1) Print and fill out with pen. 
(2) Fill out PDF and print. 

Please leave your check request form in the PTO Treasurer mailbox in the Vickery Creek School Office. Remember to include your receipts!
